Karen Studer-Rabeler

Karen Studer-Rabeler joined the MSU Technologies team in May 2015. She serves as the Commercialization Program Director for the MTRAC Program for the MSU Innovation Center. She leads this translational research program in facilitating the commercialization of technologies developed from MSU research.

Karen has a broad base of experience encompassing product development, project management, marketing and field sales in both large and small companies. She managed the Business Formation Group at the University of Michigan’s Office of Technology Transfer and personally assisted in the creation of new businesses based on UM technology for eight years. Karen then became the Vice President of Business Development with Coy Laboratory Products in Grass Lake, MI. She came to MSUT from the Michigan Small Business Development Center in Grand Rapids, MI, where she held the role of Technology Business Consultant.

Karen earned a BS in Microbiology and Public Health from Michigan State University. She helped found the Midwest Research University Network (MRUN) and served for 14 years on the MichBio Board of Directors.
